In Cub Scouting boys from age 6 to 11 are challenged to "Do their best".

From ages 11 til 18, scouts are asked to do more self motivated tasks leading to the awarding of an Eagle Scout rank.

At 14 years of age both Young women and men are able to join several coed specific groups in the scouting ranks. Venturing, Explorers and Sea scout programs teach leadership and are goal oriented groups each specializing in certain aspects.
